Sadly on Friday May 11th in Vernon BC while on holidays in his 70th year after a brief battle with lung and liver cancer Survived by his dear wife Sue (nee Gibb) of almost 48 years and mother-in-law Dolly Gibb of North Bay Cherished father to Jane Wilkinson (Derek with Michael Ryan and Kyle) of North Bay Jim (Kerry with Tristan Maxwell and Julianne) of North Vancouver BC Marcie Crazier (Dirk Campagnolo with Spencer Ivy and Graham) of Enderby BC and David of Enderby BC Predeceased by his parents Don and Audrey infant brother Billy and sister-in-law Eleanor Duggan Survived by his brother Don (Ann) of Bathurst NB brother-in-law Terry Duggan of Kamloops BC and many close relatives including cousin Mavis MacDonald of North Bay Born in South Porcupine ON on October 19th 1937 Dave was a resident of North Bay since the early ’50’s Long time manager of Kingsway Transport in North Bay previous member and president of the Rotary Club a very enthusiastic member of the Rotary Songsters and a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship Also previously volunteered with West Ferris Minor Hockey Dave loved golfing carpentry gardening travelling and fishing on Lake Nipissing especially when he was the last boat off the lake at night A dedicated husband he helped Sue triumph over tremendous health challenges He was especially proud of his children and grandchildren and all of their achievements Cremation was conducted in Vernon BC Memorial service to be held on Thursday May 17th at 2 pm at Emmanuel United Church at 395 Lakeshore Drive with a tea to follow In lieu of flowers donations in his name to the North Bay General Hospital Foundation “New Equipment Fund" (wwwnbghonca or 705-495-8125) would be appreciated HARRIMAN Rheo Joseph -
